Ummm.....actually Johnny Marks wrote the song. Autry recorded it in the late 1940's. But back Gene's show, a fun, rollicking episode. Kids in the 1950's would wear their Autry six-shooters and 'shoot' at the tube while watching.

Uh, just so you kids know, Gene Autry wrote Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. And 1 or 2 others as well.
